Late-Round Booms: 2025's Best Values With the Highest Boom Rates

The late picks and waiver darlings who posted 20-plus point weeks most often in 2025.

Season totals hide how a player actually got there. A back who scores 12, 14, and 16 helps you win every week; one who scores 3, 4, and 35 posts the same average but loses you two of three matchups. So instead of points, we measured consistency game by game: a bust is any week under 10 PPR points (a dud from a player you had to start), and a boom is any week of 20 or more (a difference-maker).

Here we flip it to the players drafted late or gone undrafted (outside the top ~7 rounds) and rank them by boom rate. These are where leagues are won: near-free picks that returned 0% boom weeks on average, the kind of ceiling you simply cannot get from a safe late-round veteran.

The tradeoff is volatility: many of these values also carried real bust rates, so they were better as high-upside flex plays than every-week locks. That is the correct way to use a late-round hit, chase the ceiling in your flex, not anchor your lineup to it.
